"And the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside a bud
was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
- Anais Nin
I don't know if it's because I was a summer baby, that I long so for the summer to return. There are glimpses of spring if you look around you, little pockets of new life. It won't be long now before the air is filled again with the swooping swallows and the land is draped with its dazzling summers blanket of colour.
Until then I thought this little picture taken in our local park a few years ago will cheer you on your way this week, I love the bright yellow against the bare bark, it fills my heart with hope and as the days lighten again I am inspired by Anais Nin words that we too should all be shedding our winter plumage to reveal our true creative selves.
