"I wanted a perfect ending. Now I've learned, the hard way, that some poems don't rhyme, and some stories don't have a clear beginning, middle, and end. Life is about not knowing, having to change, taking the moment and making the best of it, without knowing what's going to happen next. Delicious Ambiguity."
- Gilda Radner
Delicious Ambiguity - I love this phrase, such is life that when you think you have it sussed the ground shifts beneath your feet like the shingle at the shore. Being a great planner I have always found this aspect of life rather disconcerting and then this morning I found the quote below (by Shauna Niequist) which makes perfect sense to me.
We should stop fighting against the metaphoric waves we face and though we can't to see over them, trust that there are stiller waters out there - happy surfing!
and most importantly...
I'll choose to believe that sometimes the happiest ending isn't the one you keep longing for, but something you absolutely cannot see from where you are.
