Eric Carle

This week I was very saddened by the passing of the legendary collage illustrator Eric Carl (he of The Very Hungry Caterpillar fame). I’ve loved his books since I was small and he was somebody that I followed before I knew there even was such a thing as a picture book artist never mind a collage artist. He’s been a huge inspiration to me and I love his use of colour and bold shapes.
