Stumbling into the Blue

Never forget that walking away from something unhealthy is BRAVE
even if you stumble a little on your way out the door.

Mandy Hale
Having started the day throwing my entire breakfast all over the lounge floor, this quote jumped out at me!
Not a very good start to Blue Monday statistically the gloomiest day of the year. I know times are hard for a lot of people at the moment and change can be thrust on us, rather than a choice to be made. This can make life seem out of our control and in order to feel in control it is natural that we may choose to take the path of least resistance. But always remember you have the strength to change anything you find to be unhealthy in your life.
Like a growing tree, there are choices to be made at each branch and the answers to health and growth can sometimes be found out on a limb. I spent yesterday watching my nephew in a fencing competition and it was far more tactical than I had been expecting. The trick to success was not just in knowing your own strengths, but being able to play them against your opponents weaknesses. Finding a way through even when you stumble is a lesson we can all learn from, and we should not fear the failures along the way, because when you look at a trunk of a tree it is these blemishes that give the trunk its character and majestic strength.
