Hello, well Halloween seemed as good as any day to make my first post. The night when supposedly the veil that separates our world from the spirit world is at its thinnest. In Ancient times, this day was a special and honoured day of the year. In the Celtic calendar it signified the end of the summer and looking out of my window (as I type) it is easy to see the end of that season is upon us. The Celts believed that normal laws of space and time were held in abeyance during this time allowing a special window where the spirit world could intermingle with the living. It was a night when the dead could cross the veil and return to the land of the living to celebrate with their family and clan (which I think is a rather nice idea) – they lite torches so that the dead could find their way home. I’m not really looking for a knock from any of my dead rellies tonight, but I do hope they and my living relatives are proud of me and what I make. Be Back Soon...
