100 Days of Paper Collage

I just started a new creative project challenging myself to make 100 collages in the next 100 days, and I'd love you to follow my journey on my Instagram, Facebook or Twitter feeds (see links on right)

There are no rules - I'm making my own as I go along! I'm trying to limit the time I spend, but I get a bit absorbed and the hours pass by. The idea was to do a little a day to stop life getting in the way of my creative juices.

I thought I'd split the 100 days into 10 more manageable day blocks and the first block was to look at ways to depict Winter landscapes.

Though meteorological spring started on 1st March, I thought I'd focus the first week of my studies on snowy trees, limiting my colour palette for once. I lived in Derbyshire for 8 years and I do sometimes long for those snowy scenes or the mist filled morning valleys. My challenge this week was to restrict my use of colour and to look at the linear shapes and structures at play.

Have a peek at some of the collages I've made so far this week...
